In 2010, Hollywood movies have gained lot of popularity because of its amazing new releases. They are basically providing entertainment and people are fond of movies which are based on logic. Most of them are based on the current scenario. Wall Street: Money never sleeps, is one of them which is gaining the attention of audiences as it has been released on 24th.September and catering all audiences.
This movie is directed by Oliver Stone and the cast is Michael Douglas, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, Susan Sarandon and Frank Langella. The story written by Allen Loeb is revolving around financial crises that have hit the economy around the globe, and there are two people who are involved and smiling for US, as Michael Douglas and Oliver Stone. The story is revolving around the US investment banks that are willing to update the Wall Street 23 as the years are passing by.
This movie has got a lot of good stuff related to curiosity of a person towards money and making rich and obviously you can feel like a person who wants to be rich and make a lot of money. You may get some motivation as well from story of this movie but this is not all. There is a lot in this movie. Whole story is well compiled and a person can enjoy watching this movie beside some people may get bored soon.
The opening scene is very outstanding as it is showing Gordon Gecko(Michael Douglas) who has been imprisoned long time back has now be released from the jail. And he was portrayed as a Wall Street Corporate thief on a certain mission as the economy is facing a downfall, and to have a trace for the death of young trader guide. Money never sleep is basically criticizing the US culture and the financial depression that has grabbed the economy fully. The cast is making a huge difference and has made this movie worth watching. Though, the movie has not been able to convince the audience as it is too long and the twist and turns were painful and boring.
One thing was good about the movie and that was Michael Douglas, Oscar winner was back in the movie and his presence was amazing in the movie. The rage of the movie by Stone was missing and it was not well plotted but Michael Douglas acted remarkably well and in fact Oliver Stone’s direction was filled with energy as it is sequel. The film is watchable and it has all the ability to engage the audience but it is a failure to the original. Still, this is an entertaining movie plus Oliver stone direction and perfect story has picked up the attention of many.
Still this movie is recommendable as it is better than many of the sequels that have been made. Michael Douglas acting is tremendous and his look has captured the heart. The storyline has all the punching words for the American financial system having personal relationship in traumatic situation.
