The American is a movie upcoming. It is actually a kind of drama thriller directed by Anton Corbijn. In this film, one of the most popular stars would probably by George Clooney. The American is a kind of adaption of a novel in 1990. It was called A Very Private Gentleman and it was written by Martin Booth. Focus Features is the producer of this movie and it is scheduled to be released in the first day of September in 2010.

Besides Clooney, this movie also stars Irina Bjorklund, Paolo Bonacelli as well as Thekla Reuten. The plot of this movie is quite thrilling. Clooney acts as an assassin called Jack and he is always alone. After he finished a job in Sweden, he retreated to countryside of Italy and took a rest. The job in Sweden was tough and he did not expect to have that kind of touch ending. Therefore, he tried hard to get rid of the bad feeling in Italy. And later, he tried to create a weapon for Mathide, a mysterious contact.

Due to restriction of his job, Jack could hardly trust the others. Therefore, he could not have any friends. But when he tried to visit mountains of Abruzzo, he met some people and he finally accepted friendship from Father Benedetto. He tried to pursue a beautiful woman called Clara also.

Up till now, you may be able to write the second part of this story. While George was in love with his favorite Clara, troublesome things come and he had to defend with Clara and protect this woman. Being assassin, George normally has plenty of enemies and he had to overcome difficulties on his own.

If you are one of the fans of George Clooney, you will surely love this movie. As you may know, one of the focuses of this movie is definitely this guy. He has starred in many different movies and he has devoted in different roles indeed. If you are a fan of him, you may also admit that he could handle every kind of character easily. There would not be serious problems whenever he participates in a movie. Therefore, this movie would be a must-watch one if you are going to experience the charm of him.

Overall, this movie is worth watching as well. You will find that there are plenty of exciting scenes in this movie. And you will experience the change of mind of Jack. “Case 39”, a horror flick of 2009 directed by Christian Alvart, is one movie which will scare the wits out of its viewers even though it has a very predictable plot. The rest of the cast has Renee Zellweger, Jodelle Ferland, Ian Mcshane, and Bradley Cooper. Case 39 is a psychological suspense thriller which eventually transforms into a horror film, such that it creates fear in the mind of the viewers throughout, thus making it a must watch!

In “Case 39”, Emily Jenkins (Renee Zellweger) is a social worker who is over worked and over loaded with investigative cases. She feels strongly for children and is very serious about her work and the cases she gets to investigate upon. One of the cases titled “Case 39”, leads her to a ten year old Lilith (Jodelle Ferland) who is trapped in her own house and her parents who she says are trying to kill her by roasting her in the oven!
Thus Emily manages to rescue the girl away from her parents and takes Lilith into her own care by signing up as her foster mother to provide her a better home not knowing that there is more to Lilith than she observed. But once the little girl moves in with Emily things don’t go exactly as planned; people start dying in the most mysterious ways and Lillith’s parents who have been jailed proclaim it to be the work of their so called innocent daughter.
“Case 39”, is very much similar to the movie TheOrphan which is also about a little child who makes life miserable for those around her and there is no way to get rid of her!

“Case 39”, does not have a very unique plot but what works here is the cinematography, sound effects and the performances. All actors especially child artist Jodelle Ferland is great and plays her role with conviction. Renee Zellweger has always been a superb actor and it’s refreshing to see her in a horror thriller after ages. She also does a splendid job in this film.
This movie may seem to have a lazy script at some points but still bound to test one’s fear , leaving you scared and on the edge of your seat till the end. That is why children and heart patients have been warned before watching “Case 39”. This film drains you mentally and shocks you psychologically. So, staying away is a good option. But if you like horror movies and enjoyed the Orphan and others you must also include this one in your list of thrillers!

Plot: The Reverend Cotton Marcus had performed more exorcisms than he could remember before he visited the Louisiana farm of Louis Sweetzer. That would be a day he wouldn’t soon forget. The last person Lious Sweetzer ever thought he would invite to his farm was an exorcist. But his young daughter Nell had been acting so strange. He could think of no other explanation for her behavior than possession by demons. But many long years of attending to those with questionable spiritual infestations has left Cotton a broken man. The faith he once proudly held up as a sheild against evil had deserted him long ago.

This day has brought Reverend Marcus to the Sweetzers farm where he plans to film a documentary of what he hopes to be his final exorcism. All of his past experience could not begin to prepare him for the terror that lay within. But upon arriving at the already blood drenched family farm, it was soon clear that nothing could have prepared him for the true evil he would encounter there. The Reverend must call upon a near-empty well of faith to protect Nell, his film crew and ultimately himself.

Review:There are several topics which are popular for producers to make horror movies. One of these topics is definitely exorcism. Yes, there are plenty of movies featuring a minister who tries to help victims to drive out devils from their bodies and there would be accidents in the process so that there are horrible scenes to make you scream.

But in The Last Exorcism, there are some differences. This movie is told from a minister’s perspective. He performed years of exorcism and he decided to take a documentary to record his last exorcism. And in this process, he exposed some frauds that he had made in ministry. He tried to help a farmer’s daughter but he encountered accidents in helping that girl to drive out devils.

For most of the horror movies, the main objective that producers and directors try very hard to fulfill is to scare you. If they could make you scream and cry, they would think that this movie is quite successful. However, some directors would not just be satisfied by this. They would try their very best to deliver some messages to the audience. And The Last Exorcism is one of these movies.

In this movie, the director would like to tell you that ‘if you believe in God, you have to believe in Devil as well’. This is the tagline of this movie. Why is that so? It is hard to tell here because if you know the ending or the detailed plot in this article you may lose your interest in watching that movie because watching horror movies with a known plot would not be so scaring.

Even though The Last Exorcism is using traditional idea of horror movies, improvements were made and the plot was actually quite unique. If you search online about this movie, you would also find that this movie has participated in several Film Festivals in the world and comments from audiences in those festivals were good indeed.

This movie would not be the best movie because basic idea was not really original. However, we should appreciate the work of directors and the cast in creating a sense of horror throughout the movie. Even though the minister was asking a boy for direction, you would also think that something horrible may happen.

This sense of horror is something which could keep audience watching that movie. For some movies, they lack this kind of sense but for this upcoming movie, there is and there is a strong sense of horror when the daughter of farmer suddenly becomes crazy in some occasions.

To conclude, this movie is worth watching if you love to challenge your sensation. If you want to check your ability of tolerating scary things, you could watch this movie. For those who think that they would not scream even when they are watching horror movies, this movie may break their words. And this is the truth for some people actually. M. Night Shyamalan is attached with movies being reviewed. He writes and produces them, but let others direct and write scripts for him. Now, his name is stringed in the new trilogy movie, The Night Chronicles. The “Devil” the first one in the series, may be the one who will save his name from being rotten.
The story and the plot are just pretty simple but how they approach make execute the scenes make the movie pretty amazing. The Devil tells a story about strangers trapped together in an elevator and they believe that the devil is just among them. The narrator Jacob Ramirez, a superstitious Hispanic, talks about a story his mother shares to him. It is about the Devil’s Meeting, a legend wherein the devil is said to come and collect the souls to teach people lessons in life.
There are 5 main characters in the movie. The security guard, Bokeem Woodbine, the Pakistani salesman, Geofrey Arend, the old woman, Jenny O’Hara, the pretty lady Bojana Novakovic, and the American, Logan Marshall-Green. All of these characters seem that they all have their own secrets. Being trapped together in the elevator are not just enough to test their patience, they all die one-by-one in just mysterious reasons.
The security guard, Matt Craven wants to save these people desperately wants to find way how to figure out what’s happening inside. He was on a helpless situation. But when Detective Bowden, Chris Messina, goes into the situation, he tries to handle the situation but can’t help a lot. He has his own demons inside himself.
I would not spoil you by discussing what happened in the movie. The movie is breathtaking and very enjoyable. With all those demonic possessions and diabolical tension happening in the movie, it is worth to watch. The screenplay made by Brian Nelson, is very smart wise. He tells M. Night Shyamalan’sstory quick and fast paced but really is good and the thriller is non-stop.
The director John Erick Dowdle did a good job. He is very impressive as how he establishes the real feeling in the movie. When we watched the movie, it feels like we’re really with those people inside the elevator, and that scares a lot. He shows all sides of the story for each person, they has their own unique story and devils inside them. What kind of devils? I just don’t want to spoil it here.
I love the camera work, and scenes though most of the time, it is just mainly inside the elevator floor. The cinematographer Tak Fujimoto also did a great job in doing this amazing work. It’s like seeing seeing the whole elevator thing making it wide than it is just a narrow place. The shooting has great effects and good lighting.
This horror movie is a little religious in form will leave our hearts the morality it wants to tell us. The narrator Ramirez will keep reminding us how the devil comes inside us whenever we did something wrong. Whether we’re in an elevator or not, we should not let ourselves possessed by our own devils. The main casts really did a great job for this story. The ‘devil” is rated PG 13 and has come in theaters on September 17. Two Thumbs up for this one.

After the release of movie Gone Baby Gone, Ben Affleck became the center of attention for the viewers and have acquired a renowned status. Ben Affleck has already convinced the public about his excessive professionalism and acting wisdom. Now, shortly after that great movie, Affleck is back on the screens again. The town is a movie that depicts crime, drama and is focusing upon the lower class of Boston. This movie is a far greater project that the previous movie (Gone Baby Gone).

The town has a large cast, greater and much developed plot, various car accidents and shootouts; this movie also includes a stickup in the Fenway Park. Overall, if we have to say something about this movie, it will not be wrong that the town is an overly ambitious and challenging plot to be realized. But, without any trace of doubt, this movie does produces the chill and thrill that is the prime motive behind such a movie.

Affleck has proven himself as a better director, when we consider his joint working efforts with Peter Craig and Aaron Stockard. The story line of this movie revolves around the gang of white trash Boston bank robbers. The story also brings into light woman who is in fascination of this gang of robbers. Now the FBI is also behind them and remains tailing the gang all around the town. Affleck is playing the role of Doug, who lives in Charles town. Doug’s father gets falsely convicted for being involved in a bank robbery that basically concerned Doug, and spends considerable time in jail. Meanwhile, Doug frustrates with life and circumstances.

Now Doug has a friend named Jim, the role of whom has been played by Jeremy Renner. Jim has accompanied Doug in the robbery. Now near the optimum point in the movie, the gang top figure, named Pete Postlethwaite, starts to place strain on the gang members. Krista, who is Jim’s sister, is looking towards Doug, while Doug is captivated by the haughty beauty of Posh Claire. Now Posh Claire is totally unaware of the reality of Doug and his feelings for her.

Now obviously, after sometime the romance fills surrounding atmosphere. However, eventually Claire has to make choice between her beloved Doug and the justice. Among all this chaos and urgency of situation, another FBI agent, named Frawley is after Doug since many years. He has all the significant evidences and is determined to put Doug behind the bars.

Now after going through diverse twists and turns in the plot line, the story finally mellows down into Doug consider to avert from the crime world. And, evidently the lime light of love has cast this spell over Doug. Now after all this reviewing and analysis, it is appropriate to say that The Town is one movie that may not be among the most outstanding creations; yet it may be considered worth a watch; the people who love these kind of movies should watch this out as they will like it.
