Movies of any type whether horror, action, comedy or best drama movies are a great source of entertainment for people especially, motion pictures and theaters entertain people in a great way. Truly speaking, dramatics and storytelling has always been appreciated by kids and adults. Initially, the Shakespearean dramas became extremely popular amongst people. But now many new technologies have made the entertainment industry very advanced and modern. The directors and editors do these job more for money than for entertainment. They not only direct best drama movies as per viewer’s choice but also present them very creatively.

There are two different categories in movies. These are commercial and drama movies. Drama movies are also famous as ‘art movies’. The reviews on best drama movies are mostly based on real life happenings and realistic character development themes. Reviews on best drama movies are mostly with emotional themes based on alcoholism, drug addiction, poverty, war massacre and corruption etc. Best drama movies are created in such a way that they depict the entire depth of realty of any incident whether it may be social, political or cultural in front of people in a very convincing way. The review on best drama movies mostly concentrate on the plot or the theme of the whole story rather than on any particular character. The movies always end with a moral or a positive note in front of people. Few of the most popular drama movies include ‘The Godfather’, ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ and ‘Schindler’s List’. These drama movies are always loved by the audience because of their striking emotional scenes, interesting themes and excellent performance by their actors.

If you ask about my review on best drama movies, I will rate “the Godfather” as the best and a master piece for that matter. This is primarily due to its classy direction style, impeccable performances by all the actors such as Marlon Brando, James Caan, and Al Pacino. The creative shot development was also at its best in this movie. This best drama movie shows the period from 1945 to 1955, which by many is still considered as the darkest time in the history of entire Europe. Apart from this, the Godfather movie concentrates on American Italian Corleone crime family. The best part of the movie is the story and script development and the environment which truly shows the Italian American culture. In my review on best drama movies I would give this movie a nine on a scale of one to ten.

Another movie that comes close to the Godfather in my review on best drama movies is “The Shawshank Redemption” and “Schindler’s list” primarily due to their screenplay and emotional impact. In fact the emotional scenes in the movie are strong enough to get tears out of your eyes. In my review on best drama movies I would give these movies a seven and eight on a scale of one to ten.

I saw this movie at the world premiere and I had the pleasure of congratulating Jay and Nicolas on this great Disney achievement. I have always been a big movie goer since a young age and enjoy a broad range of films. As of late Disney has not brought forth any movies I have loved till now, and between Jerry Bruckheimer, Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, and Alfred Molina the movie had great chemistry. The music and the fight scenes have Jerry Bruckheimer splashed all over them (can be compared to Pirates of the Caribbean). As for Nicolas Cage, many people I spoke with before and after the movie didn’t believe he could pull off the roll of a “Sorcerer,” yet his perception of Balthazar Blake as a wise, cunning, determined, witty, heart broken wizard gave the movie such positive energy and strength. Jay was perfect as Dave bringing his classic, nerdy, innocent character, to the table as seen in many of his other films. His character represents Disney’s persona of good, and paired with Cage’s interpretation of Balthazar there is a plethora of hilarity,and anticipation. Alfred Molina playing the apposing force, Maxim Horvath, provided the movie with just the right amount of darkness to cater to the younger and older generations. Through out the movie Molina’s character, Horvath, has a twisted mix of respect and hatred for Cage’s character, Balthazar, and the two of them feed off the energy very well to create a great amount of conflict and excitement. These conflicts help detract from the typical corny air that many Disney movies have, because they usually cater to a younger audience. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice does cater to a younger audience, but also provides enough action, suspense, and humor to cater to those of the older generation, making it a great family movie. So to anyone who is questioning whether or not to see the film I highly recommend it!!! It is a great modern spin of the Disney Fantasia classic with, comedy, action, suspense, and romance, that makes it appreciable to all. Between the awesome cast, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Jon Turteltaub, the movie represents the real meaning behind the magic of Disney.

THE BUZZ: Alongside The Expendables, Scott P. easily is one of the most anticipated (and hyped-up) summer movies. Awareness is high and the marketing here has been spot-on; what is unclear is whether the combined powers of Edgar Wright and Michael Cera can defeat the black hole that is the August box office. Even the toughest reviewers are rooting for this one.

Review:

The tagline for this film is “An Epic of Epic Epicness” and I couldn’t agree more. After waiting in line for 3 hours after last night’s Comic-Con and finally being sat in the gorgeous Balboa Theater, I didn’t know what to expect. I loved the comics and the previews looked faithful. The moment the movie starts (literally; the Universal logo and theme are 8-bit) you are thrown into a comic book atmosphere with video game references aplenty.

The plot revolves around Scott Pilgrim needing to defeat the 7 Evil Exes of Ramona Flowers in order to date her and it is a harrowing sequence of battles. Each fight is crazier than the last and some are used purely for comedy, not excitement. Almost every other line is a punchline and they all work. References to TV shows, video games and comics (just like a 20-something’s life would include) are everywhere and if you accept the concept of the plot, it all feels natural.

While the audience might’ve been biased (we held a 10-minute standing ovation for Edgar Wright when the movie finished) there’s no denying that it’s an excellent film. Edgar Wright has an uncanny sense of comic timing with edits and sound cues to make the picture tight and focused when it’s looking for laughs.

I can’t imagine a mainstream theater erupting in applause and laughter like ours did but make no mistake; this a crowd pleaser and the MOST enjoyable film I’ve seen in years. Don’t hesitate to watch this masterpiece in a theater near you.

Well, I believe that adventure movies are the most popular category in the Hollywood. So what do you think that makes these adventure movies great and worth watching? Well, to a very large extent the category is primarily defined (and you can say redefined) by movies themselves – the movies that we remember are primarily the most successful ones.

Below is a review on best adventure movies that I have handpicked from past. The selection includes movies from wide range, from science adventures to pirate adventures, etc. I believe that the essential elements for a movie to be best adventure movies are great story, a good hero and a good villain or a situation that could bring tension in to the movie script.

So let’s start with our review on best adventure movies ever made:

1. The Long Kiss Goodnight: This movie is a story about a happily married mom who lives in a suburban area; however, she cannot recollect anything about the time before giving birth to her daughter some 8 years ago. However, one night she has an accident and after that she starts to recollect her past slowly.  But it becomes a crucial time for her as a former enemy of hers sees her on TV and breaks away from the jail to kill her and take revenge. I believe that this was a terrific adventure movies but it never received the credit it should have been given. I will give a six out of 10 in terms of my category of review on best adventure movies.

2. The Fugitive: This movie is a story about a respected medical practitioner Dr. Richard Kimble who is accused falsely and convicted for killing his wife. Circumstances give Kimble the opportunity to escape from the prison and prove his innocence. Tommy Lee Jones and Harrison Ford have acted brilliantly in this movie. I will give a seven out of 10 in terms of my category of review on best adventure movies.

3. The Curse of the Black Pearl – Pirates of the Caribbean: Well this movie is in the list just because it did manage to bring the pirate adventure movies to the mainstream cinema after a gap of almost more than a decade. However, I also believe that the movie without Geoffrey Rush and Johny Depp would not have been that meaningful. The story of the movie was something like this: Will Turner and Captain Jack Sparrow need to work together to form and unlikely partnership to face a group of cursed pirates whose leader was treacherous Captain Barbossa. Though, both Turner and Sparrow had different goals, while Turner wanted to rescue her girlfriend, Jack wanted his black peal back. I will definitely give a nine out of 10 in terms of my category of review on best adventure movies.

Will Ferrell and Mark Whalberg are The Other guys. The Other guys is Will Ferrell’s funniest and most fun film since Anchorman,which was his masterpiece. THere is a lot to admire here. The film is similar to Cop out, only funny.

In the police force, there are cops who get into car chases and shoot down bad guys. The real deal. Then,there are The other guys(Ferrell and Whalberg). Allen(Ferrell) is a goofy cop who doesn’t really care about his job.But Terry(Whalberg) is quite the opposite. He really cares about his job. This is part of the reason why they don’t get along.

So, after the real deal cops die, they decide to try and take their place. The cast also includes Samuel L. Jackson and The Rock as the better cops, Eva Mendes as Allen’s wife,who he seems to not care about, Michael Keaton as the chief, Steve Coogan as the guy they’re after, and more.

I had a blast with The Other guys. It’s the first Will Ferrell comedy in years that could become a classic. Anchorman was an instant classic. This is his best comedy since Anchorman. That’s my opinion.

The film goes in the tradition of films like Rush hour and Lethal weapon. But it goes a little further than the level of Rush hour. Cause here both actors are very likable. Unlike Rush hour,which I only payed attention to do to Chris Tucker.

I appreciated Mark Whalberg’s role in this film. After seeing him in a film like The Departed where he plays such a serious cop, here he plays such a serious cop but in comedy form. I enjoyed The Other guys. It’s hilarious,fun and exciting.Originality?I don’t know. But you forget about that. Enjoy yourself.

The film is about a family that has working parents and young children to take care of. The film throws light upon different aspects on such family life in a funny way. The cast of the movie is Steve Carell playing role of Fosters Phil and Tina Fey playing role of Claire. They are living a married life and are having young children. They are having working days and restless nights whenever they get time, they try to go out for date nights by leaving the kids with a baby sitter.

The best thing about the movie is that the couple is a good comedian and this adds a lot to the viewer experience. They just keep on the laughter coming all time and never fail in making the audience laugh. The best parts of the movie are mostly parts where they have brought in a comedy touch to the dialogues or the scene as a whole.

There are some funny points in the movie such as the one when they speak a lie to get a table in restaurant and then ruin their date when thugs, cops and a fat Mark Wahlberg is on their back.

The director has introduced some of the elements in the scenes that make movie more hilarious. In between pursuits the factor of comedy is also present.

The movie has kept the things coming straight through a point and has a number of cast appearances of well recognized faces such as Will.I.Am, Mark Ruffalo, James Franco and Mila Kunis.

Steve Carell and Tina Fey share an excellent chemistry. The movie shows the routine of an average couple with kids. How they have to help each other and sacrifice their own interests in order to build up a strong family life. They show how a couple goes through a tough routine throughout the day, working hours in office and then taking care of children in evening.

If you are not busy with some other work, I will advice you to watch till the end of credits as there is a lot of entertainment stuff such as pictures with hilarious poses.

Most people I know are going to see this film for Julia Roberts. It is that mysterious link that film stars create with their audiences. We develop a sort of craving to see them again. So a new Julia Roberts movie? Sure. Absolutely. I’m only a few years younger than Julia Roberts which means we have grown together. So, to see her play a woman facing a sort of middle age crisis makes you look inwards with a smile, the nervous kind. I must also say I’m a guy, heterosexual, but not fanatically so. I don’t have the fears that, Jay Leno for instance, shows, when confronted by a “chick flick” If anything “Eat Pray Love” proves that men and women are not that far apart, we simply deal with the same problems in different ways. Here, the filmmakers don’t shy away from the conflict and the balance is real. Julia’s husband, played beautifully by Billy Crudup, accuses her of leaving the marriage without an explanation. He is the one with the broken heart. In Italy, Julia eats and our own gastric juices start to do their thing. I glanced at my watch, I was ready to run into the nearest Italian restaurant and have a relationship with a pizza myself. Italy, Rome and even Naples look so clean that I hardly recognized it. CGI? Luca Argentero plays Julia’s tutor/tourist guide. He is a good looking guy that after appearing in the Italian version of the Big Brother reality show, he became a sort of local movie star and shows promising acting chops. Here, strangely enough, he looks small but charming all the same. India brings the wonderful Richard Jenkins and a solid piece of advise: “don’t give up on love” Bali, well, Bali is something else and it is there that Javier Bardem comes into the picture and provides us with the best scene in the film. I’m not going to tell you what it is but let me just say that involves his son and gives us, finally, a side of Julia we didn’t know how much we missed. Empathy. Feeling something for somebody else’s feelings. I think I may see the film a second time just to see that scene again. I also should mention that James Franco plays a young actor – not what I call a stretch – considering he is my favorite of the young actors around. I will challenge other members of my sex to go and see it. Not to be afraid to feel identified or even chocked up. I can assure you it’s not going to diminish you manliness in any way and will awake your appetites, big time.

How to train your dragon is the latest movie in 3D releases. The film is directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders.

The main character of the movie Hiccup is voiced by Jay Baruchel who is a guy who is more brains than any of his warrior group mates. The mates are taught to fight against dragons to defend their village from deadly attacks from dragons that set the village on fire and to prevent the dragons from eating up all of their livestock. The kid wants to help his people in whatsoever way he can, but he is not appreciated of his unique capabilities even by his own father Stoick, who is being voiced by Gerard Butler.

The story goes on with the development of relation between the beasts and Hiccup, when he tries to save a beast (Toothless) that is the few of its kind left. This well being by human changes things a lot and results in a friendly environment between humans and the beasts. The story is the basic strength of the film and is perfect for all types of audience. A lot of effort has been put up in creation of 3D characters and the character look more real rather than a 3D effect.

The movie comes with an ordinary story which contains the factor of misunderstandings between father and the son, along with the usual “zero turns a hero” theme but the way things have been put up is really different and this makes the usual things unusual for audience.

The dragon creature lovers will come across different ideas in the film that will make them appreciate it.

The dragon has been nicely created with the help of 3D technology. The beast is designed similar to Lilo, another dragon designed by the same co-director in another movie. The dragon has been put up in a lovely character that is mischievous and apprehensive.

Action lovers will find an action series that is completely error free and a 3D creation beyond the past works. The sets are wonderfully crafted and work superb with the audience. Moreover, the fights are incredible and humorous which make it more interesting.

After nearly a decade of disappointments Stallone shocked the movie world by making a 6th emotionally charged Rocky, he then went on to please fans by taking Rambo into a visceral brutally realistic war movie, now for his hat trick Stallone gave us something old and something new ‘The Expendables’ the type of movie kids dreamed about the early 90′s, what if this guy & that guy and him where all in a film together. A little too late? Hell no! Never has this film been more needed. In a land of watered down PG-13 wire work action movies real action fans where desperate for some real old school action. (Cobra, Commando, Delta Force, Last Boy Scout..) The great thing about this film is even if it didn’t have the cast it still would be a great action movie, the fact it has such a jaw dropping cast just makes it all the better. Stallone is growing as an action director, he brought some of his tense brutal techniques from Rambo but was smart enough to go a little old school for other scenes. Their are some very kinetic action sequences but not Parkinson’s suffering cameraman techniques like the Bourn films.

The main focus of the team are Stallone & Statham, they really have a good Old Dog, New Dog friendship. Lundgren (My favourite character) gets a an interesting sub plot. Unfortunately Li, Couture & Crews get pushed to the background but they do get some great scenes to shine. (Hopefully they can get some more development in the sequel.

Roberts and his Henchman Stone Cold Steve Austin shine as the brutal villains. Gary Danials however was really underused I was expecting some Bennet style lines. At least he got one of the best fights of the movies.

Of coarse the scene everyone was talking about was the Stallone, Schwarzenegger & Willis scene. Which was one of the funniest parts of the movie. Their attempt to put each other down while out manning each other worked brilliantly and Willis threatening Stallone alone is worth the ticket price.

A slight nag about the film is at the very end some CGI did crop up, in the form of fire. After all the practical stunts throughout the movie including one great Truck chase I was a little disappointed not to see a stuntman in a fire suit.

If this had just been Stallone’s baby with a few unknown actors I’d give this film 8/10 BUT the fact we get to see Stallone, Statham, Li, Lundgren, Couture, Crews, Roberts, Rourke, Danials with Willis & Schwarzenegger punch, kick, stab, mouth off and blow up each other cranks it up to a 9.5/10 for me.

Bring on Expendables II

The story is an enjoyable one. The movie is just good and not extraordinary. People who have seen the movie are of the view that the movie isn’t good and it has a lot of components missing that were required in it. The only thing good about the movie is Queen Latifah’s performance which makes the movie worth seeing.

The plot of the movie is the tug of war for the star player of NBA Scott McKnight to choose between beauty in appearance and beauty from inside.

The story revolves around Queen Latifah who is acting as character of Leslie Wright, a physical therapist. It is on a nets game where she finds her favorite basketball star ‘Common’ playing the role of Scott McKnight. She gets the player hooked up with her lonely feeling friend (Paula Patton playing role of Morgan Alexander). The friend starts to fell a bit better but when McKnight gets injured she leaves him.

Scott then tries to regain his strength and get back into the game with the help of Leslie as well as attempts to find love during this time. Morgan returns to ask for forgiveness from McKnight but he refuses and realizes that she is not the girl he wants in his life.

The story is good and there are some funny parts in it as well but for most of the viewers this is not something really attractive. The only good actor in the movie is Queen Latifah and she is the only reason of watching the movie. Other than her, no actor has worked as she has done. Common isn’t acting well and for the half length of the movie his acting is poor.

The movie also has some scenes of comedy but there is nothing which makes someone laughs out loudly. The comedy scenes are okay and are not so funny at all. The film does not contain any kind of drama according to what was required for such plot. For most of the young viewers the movie wasn’t interesting but people over 50 years of age love this movie.
